Work starts on the smoker's hatch

The glass is removed and cleaned

Everything is stripped down and repainted or cleaned

Smoker's hatch back together again

Open to allow all that cigar smoke to escape

The roof covering was past its use by date so the various layers were stripped off

The chicken wire was removed to allow for some repairs

Some new wood was set in

The various layers of calico and wadding were built back up

Finally the outer roof covering was in place the smoker's hatch refitted
